Our mission is to protect our community by coordinating & integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain & improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to & recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters.
What Else We Do
We also administer the City's IT infrastructure... computers, networks, telephones, radios, etc. This includes everything from repairing equipment to managing large projects, such as the build-out of the City's new Public-Safety Radio System. We also write & administer grants for other departments and assist in their daily operations.
